Soneva is an ultra-luxury platform that has pioneered and been the leader in sustainable luxury over the last 25 years. Soneva was founded by its current chief executive officer, Sonu Shivdasani, who is the founder and former CEO of Six Senses, a globally renowned luxury resort and spa brand. Soneva’s ethos of barefoot luxury is centered around the idea of offering their guests access to rare experiences they cannot buy back home – biking around the Maldivian jungle barefoot, taking an outdoor shower after snorkeling with a marine biologist, or dining with family and friends under the stars while learning about the constellations from an in-house astronomer. Soneva is also at the forefront of sustainability, having gone carbon neutral since 2012 via a carbon levy which raises money forthe Soneva Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.
